Abe Garcia was called up to the Lord on April 6, 2021, at the age of 85.  He was born on June 17, 1935 in San Antonio, Texas.

He served in the U.S Navy, completing his service in the military as a reservist.  He worked for the U.S. Postal Service for 35 years and retired as Postmaster of Converse, Texas.  In his leisure time he enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading, crossword puzzles and watching sports.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents Amelia and Abram; his first wife Tillie; and brothers, Carlos and Armando.

He is survived by his loving children, Delia (Sandy), Abraham Joshua, and Dee Hernandez; grandchildren, Stormie (Josh) Roberts and Dakota Contreras; ex-wife and best friend, Lily (Nana); his siblings, Richard, Rosie, Felix (Sylvia), Gilbert and Cecilia; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Services:

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, May 5, at 5:00 P.M. with

a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 P.M. at the Angelus Chapel.

Funeral Mass will be offered on Thursday, May 6, at 11:30 A.M. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Private burial at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with military honors.
